Evan Alexander has arrived!

Our 5th grandchild arrived into this world on Friday morning!  He's got lots of hair and a set of lungs that won't quit.  Evan Alexander weighed 8lb 1oz and measured 21" tall.  Our daughter, her husband and the rest of the family are doing well.  Can't wait to see them all very soon!!!

The proud grandma... that would be me :-)

Civil War Quilt Progress

I am still working on the first Civil War Quilt; all the blocks are done, ready for sashings.  The only problem is I want to use one fabric from a second Civil War Quilt that I had planned, so in order to use that fabric, I had to finish the first quilt first.  That way I know I won't run out of fabric for the quilt it was originally planned for.  So... that being said, here is a picture of the finished quilt top and a picture of all the blocks ready for sashing on the other.  I will definitely post a finished picture when the sashings and borders are done on that one too.

Happy Quilting!

Christmas Trees!

Another great class under our belts!  This was the Paper-Piecing Christmas Trees class.  I believe both ladies may be making table runners once they have completed more blocks.  They turned out terrific!!!

Happy Quilting,
Debbie

Civil War Quilt Progress

I've been working on this Civil War Quilt for my husband.  It will have pictures of some of his relatives who actually fought at Gettysburg and other sites during the Civil War.  It's coming along very nicely, I got twelve blocks done at the retreat I went to over Labor Day weekend, but there is a total of 30 to do!!!  I'll be sure and post a picture when it's done.  Enjoy!  Debbie

Third Bargello is Done!!

Wow!  This one is just great!  It's amazing how the three different colors chosen to do this magnificent quilt all look different but all are just beautiful!  This one was done by Mary Ann (Mom to me).  Great job!!!

Quilt-As-You-Go Baby Quilts

This was a very fun class.  We all had a finished quilt at the end of class and we even finished early, so we had lots of time to just chat and enjoy each other.  Karen did another fantastic job of teaching us a new technique that we can use with a "stripped" quilt or a "block" quilt.  I'm eager to try it in different sizes.  Thank you Karen for a great class!!
