Christmas 2014

We celebrated Christmas at Shannon and Ben's house this year.  Ben's mother and family were there also, so it was nice seeing everyone.

Some of my Christmas decorations.  My
Nativity Scene in the dining room.
Evan didn't think it was fair that we put
Jake in his cage, but with so many people,
it's just not a good idea to let him run
around with Murphy.

Raegan all dressed up!

The kids getting ready to open gifts.

Didn't take long to get started...

She's pretty happy with this one!

Now that's excited!!!

She's been wanting an American Girl
Doll for a long time.  Now I get to start
making doll clothes... doh!

Larry made toy boxes for the twins.
They didn't quite get the concept...LOL
They immediately got into them.

Playing his electronic game in his new toy box

Shannon in the kitchen, Ben's Mom at the table with her
boyfriend and you can see the back of Ben's brother's
head.  Bryce is sitting at the counter.
We had a great meal and a very nice visit with everyone.  Larry put a lot of work into the toy boxes and the kids just loved them.
Raegan's Toy Box.  Waiting for stain
and finishing.

Raegan's completed.  I made a top quilt
for her, but it didn't get in the picture.
It is in pinks and blacks, cheerleading
prints.  She loved it.

Ryland's ready for staining...
Ryland's completed.  He loves the football
top quilt too, but can't get him out of the
toy box!!!

Shannon said we had made her children into vampires because they spend all their time inside their new toy boxes.  We told her she had to buy more toys so she could fill them up and then they wouldn't have room.  LOL

Our first snow of the 2014 winter season

We had a good snow storm come through the day before Thanksgiving and this is what it left behind...

A squirrel just outside by the pole barn.  He was
digging for something!

Evidently, he found what he was digging for.  Good for him!

The snow made the dead-looking trees look pretty.

Our rock wall out front is all covered up again!

It's Been A Long Time... Sorry

It's been quite a while since I have blogged any pictures, so here we go.  I went back to Tucson for a short three weeks and had a GREAT time!  Saw lots of people, but unfortunately wasn't able to see everyone.  For those friends I wasn't able to see, I'm sorry I didn't get to visit with you.

Here are a few pictures from that trip.

Spend a day at CJ's for a "mini retreat"  Had a great time.
Here's one of her quilts that she made from scraps
that I had left her from my bargelloblue quilt.
She's amazing!  That's what a good imagination will
do for you!!!

This Illusions Quilt was an idea found in
Kingman while at my cousin's home.
We didn't have a pattern, so we just took
some spoken instructions and put it all
together.  I ended up taking it apart and
making two separate lap quilts for the
twins.  They look the same, but the
backing is different for each.  I wrote the
instructions out, so if anyone would like it,
just let me know and I'll send it to you.

My Mom with her sister, Aunt Arla
Mom is on the right, for those of you
who aren't lucky enough to know
my mom.  She's GREAT!!!

Mom and Aunt Arla

Our normal morning routine.  We get up
and communicate on our Kindles.  The
only reason I'm not in this picture is
because I've got the camera... LOL
I got to spend some time with our son Josh and his family.
I enjoyed the time I got to spend with Josh and Alex
tremendously!  There just wasn't enough time.  Here is a
picture of Jesse with his cousin Isabella.  They are only
a few months apart in age and are best of friends!!!

Our oldest grandchild, Christopher!  He's on the left in his
pajamas... We had a great visit.  He's doing very well in
school and is becoming quite the young gentleman!!!
I'm very proud of him.  Keep up the good work Christopher!
Grandma and Grandpa love you LOTS!!!
