Yes, it's been busy around here! Sharon finished her quilt for her granddaughter and it is absolutely gorgeous! She is starting her second one for the other granddaughter and it's exactly the same. They both loved the pattern so much and the colors, Sharon gets to do two of them. She did such a great job on the first, I'm sure the second one will be done in no time. She had it professionally quilted and it is just marvelous. Take a look...

It was too tall for us to hold it upright, but it's just as pretty
sideways. |

It got Jake's approval. He especially liked the prairie points. |
|
The quilting, as always, is easier to see the details when
looking at the back of the quilt. |

An awesome job of quilting! |
Nancy has also been very busy. Chuck retired and she's so happy about that. Now he's doing even more around the farm; not like he didn't do more than most people before he retired. She's thrilled he's home and her first quilt on her new "toy", aka Bernina longarm machine, will be Chuck's retirement quilt. She finished it before his retirement party, but she still wants to put some borders on it. She is going to put a small yellow border then a larger one of a red print. It will be awesome when she's done, then her first challenge on her new machine will be Chuck's new quilt!

Chuck collects tractors, full size and toy size. The
"tool shed" is full of them, it's an awesome sight.
His favorite is Farmall tractors, wouldn't
think of having a John Deere... LOL |
Larry has been busy too. He's finished the inset panel doors for the wood box inside the house. It was his first inset panel door project and it turned out great! Here's before and after pictures. He finished off the floorboard, so all the inside is done. Now he can work on the "extras" like chair-railing and more. He's been busy preparing for hunting season. Had a few sightings, but no clean shots available yet. It's truly a game of patience.

The wood box next to the fireplace before. The doors that
were on it, wouldn't stay closed so we kept a bin in front of
it so that it wouldn't fly open. |

Finished! It looks so great now. He
made it with a small shelf on the top so
that I could add more trinkets to the
décor. |
You may be asking yourself, what have you finished Debbie? Well I have to say that would be a big nothing. I have plenty started and several almost done, but finished? Zip! I did make a petticoat for my granddaughter's Halloween costume. She gets to lead the Halloween parade this year in Canton, she's pretty excited about that! I'll post a picture of her in her outfit as soon as I get one. Oh well, I'll get something quilt-like done here pretty quick.
