What a great class this was! We learned how to clean, care for and configure proper settings for our Serger Machines. We made these cute little bags too! We still have 2 openings in the evening class, so if you are interested, let me know.
Happy Quilting!

Pineapple Class a Success
We had a great class today! Our youngest student is taking to this quilting thing like there's no tomorrow. It's so fun having Chayse in a class. Here is her finished pineapple block and the other two done by Joyce and Glenda. They all look great! Glenda's will be scrappy, so her blocks will all be different colors. Joyce picked great contrasting colors and the pineapple pattern will really stand out well.
Great job by all!!! Lots of fun being had by everyone.

Thinking Outside the Box
Pat took the paper-piecing class and has done a GREAT job! Look at those points on her blocks, they are perfect! She is always thinking outside the box; the pattern called for the four blocks to be placed as a small square wall-hanging, but by placing them end-to-end, Pat has made a beautiful table-runner! It's ready to machine quilt, she's working with her "walking-foot" for the first time and doing a great job of that too! I know it's not done yet, but here's her project ready to quilt
First Quilt by Chayse
Here is one of our youngest students with her first quilt. She's a bit shy, so no pictures of her yet, but we'll try and get one. This is her very first quilt; she picked from grandma's (Joyce) scrap pile and re-arranged them a few times so that the colors were just right for her. She is doing a great job of matching her corners.
This next picture is her second one... again, all her choices of colors and placement. She is going to try her hand at the pineapple block. She's a real go-getter! I'm proud to have her as a student and her grandma's pretty darn proud too!!!
