This next picture is her second one... again, all her choices of colors and placement. She is going to try her hand at the pineapple block. She's a real go-getter! I'm proud to have her as a student and her grandma's pretty darn proud too!!!
Hello everyone! I know it's been a long time, but it's been hectic beyond belief. I'll explain some in the postings. Enjoy! Debbie

First Quilt by Chayse
Here is one of our youngest students with her first quilt. She's a bit shy, so no pictures of her yet, but we'll try and get one. This is her very first quilt; she picked from grandma's (Joyce) scrap pile and re-arranged them a few times so that the colors were just right for her. She is doing a great job of matching her corners.

Miss Chayse, you truly are an artist in the making. Beautiful colors were chosen and you are doing a great job. I am proud of you for enjoying and spending the time with your grandmother. These moments will be treasured and be with you for a lifetime. Keep up the great sewing, you are already showing great talent. I also encourage you to get your girlfriends interested too. I only wish that I could have lived closer to my grandmother as she was a hand quilter and did beautiful work, but was given an opportunity here in Tucson in my late 50's to learn quilting by my cherished friend, Dale, who I am forever grateful.
