Halloween in PA

Halloween was quite fun this year.  We went to Ben & Shannon's house and watched the kids get their makeup and costumes ready for the evening's events.  Raegan's class won the honors of picking the theme for the Halloween Parade in Canton, so they got to carry the banner and start the parade off in fine fashion.  After the parade, we walked the streets of Canton as the kids collected candy.  It was very relaxing and it felt so safe!  It was a very "small town atmosphere", it was ideal.

Ryland sat patiently as Ben applied his makeup.  He had
red spray in his hair, looked like blood.  There was lots
of fake blood on his clothes and even a wound on
his arm.  He said it didn't hurt at all!

Waiting... not his favorite thing to do

Raegan's makeup looked great.  No blood here!

Where's my makeup?!?  Evan didn't wear makeup, but...

He sure liked showing off his muscles!

I've never seen a cuter Spiderman!
A hero in my book!!!

Raegan was dressed in "Steam Punk" Style!
Looking awesome.  She even got a compliment
for the best outfit one couple had seen
all night.
Minions!  There were a lot of them, but
I think this was the cutest.

Ryland and Rylin, good friends, they
were both "walking dead".

The streets were lined with kids and parents alike, waiting for
the parade to begin.

Here they come!  The parade begins, and the
candy begins to fly.  They toss candy at the kids
along side the parade path, it's quite exciting!!

I believe this would be Freddy Kruger, he was towing a body
behind him too.
Waiting patiently in line for the Minions to give him candy, Evan
did very well.  He never forgot to say thank you too!!

A lot of the parents were dressed in costume along with
the kids.  It was truly a family evening in Canton.

The streets are lined with leafs and people, the police were patrolling
all night too.  They even stopped once in a while and gave out
full-sized candy bars to some lucky kids.  They were great, even
playing songs on their loud speakers like the theme from Adam's Family,
Ghostbusters, Thriller and more.  They were having a good time
right along with the kids while keeping everyone safe.

One group in front of a church was handing out hot chocolate
and coffee or even hot cider!  We must have walked every block, probably
about 2 or more miles worth.  Well worth the walk!
