Our Fight with Cancer

My husband was diagnosed with cancer in July.  He had almost 3 months of radiation and chemo.  He was "cancer free" just before Christmas and we had the most wonderful Christmas ever!

Then we were OK'd to go on our annual winter trip to Tucson.  After a short time, he got sick and within 32 hours of diagnosis, he passed away on February 13th.  This was a difficult time for the whole family.  The road to recovery is difficult but do-able with the love and compassion shown to us all by family members and friends.

It still seems a long way to go to get used to our "new normal", but it's in our future somewhere.  It's time to get back to this blog as life does go on.  I want to thank you ALL who have been a part of that recovery for us.  It would be much more difficult without you.

spending time with the grandkids, doesn't get much better than that.
